As the ship is located in a different time period, the Sirians had a solution to the problem, they placed several time portals with each major civilization on Earth so that the time portals would send sometime forward in time to the same time period that the ship is in. However, Sam is not trapped NETRICSA discovers a backup spaceship that the Sirians left on Earth just in case something happened to the SSS Centerprice.
